Paper Mountain Solutions have once again featured in the national press when Managing Director Paul Smalley was quoted in an article about small businesses tackling late payments. Paul told The Telegraph's James Hurley that many small companies weren’t getting the basics right and a more structured approach to dealing with debtors would quickly yield results. Paul said, "In the majority of instances, invoices are issued, sometimes without explicit payment terms, and rarely chased. As such, their debtors ensure the ones who are chasing payment get paid first." Paul went on to suggest that methods such as using accepted invoice templates and clearly highlighting “payment terms, time lines for reporting disputes, bank details for BACS payments as well as a follow-up procedure to remind the debtor we expect our client to be paid to terms.
