Future plans? The most important immediate task for the new PM is to approve the £111bn bailout package agreed at October's EU summit and avoid bankruptcy. However, Mr Papademos will also have to bring in additional austerity measures, but it's believed the support he has will allow this to happen. As for the future of Greece within the eurozone, Mr Papademos's priority will be to keep his country a part of it. Will Mr Papademos succeed where Papandreou failed? Only time will tell. He has just a few months until the elections to start making a difference. The other eurozone leaders, the markets and businesses throughout Europe are putting a great deal of trust and hope in this being a new beginning for Greece. The recent change in events in Greece came about after Prime Minister George Papandreou called a referendum on Greece's rescue package only to change his mind after the ensuing crisis, which threatened to spread throughout the eurozone.
