Two important dates for your diary are the 6th April and 1st October as most new laws affecting businesses are enforced on these dates. Knowing these dates and the new regulations coming into force will allow you to prepare your business for any necessary changes.Here is a snapshot of the most recent up-dates as described on Business Link: Employment & skillsThe national minimum wage (NMW): the various NMW rates will increase. Agency worker rights: once an agency worker completes 12 continuous calendar weeks' work with the same hirer in the same role, they will be entitled to benefit from the same basic terms and conditions of employment enjoyed by the hirer's employees.
